Summary on the 11th SoMA
The 11th Mining Aerology School was held On March 23-25, 2022, at the “Toporów” Hotel in Białka Tatrzańska. It was organized by:
- AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management, Department of Environmental Engineering,
- Mining Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Section of Underground Coal Mining.
The Organizing Committee of the 11th Mining Aerology School was composed of the employees of the Department of Environmental Engineering: prof. Nikodem Szlązak (chairman), prof. Dariusz Obracaj, prof. Justyna Swolkień, dr Marek Korzec and dr Kazimierz Piergies.
Patronage of the 11th SoMA
The conference was held under the patronage of the President of the State Mining Authority, Adam Mirek. The partners of the 11th Mining Aerology School were: Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A., AZIS Mining Service Sp. z o.o., Becker-Warkop Sp. z o.o. and DSI Underground.
Aims of the 11th School of Mining Aerology
The 11th Mining Aerology School aimed to present the latest achievements of domestic and world science in the field of ventilation, safety and combating natural hazards in underground mines, exchange experiences, discuss more compelling cases and events, and solutions to movement problems in mines. The program also covered the subject of ventilation of communication tunnels. The conference also allowed companies related to the issues of mine ventilation to present their latest solutions, offers, and implementations.
One hundred twenty participants took part in the 11th School of Mining Aerology, and 37 papers were delivered during the sessions.
