First and second cycle scholarships

SOCIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The social scholarship is awarded based on the income situation in the student’s family.

The maximal monthly income per person in a family entitled to receive a social scholarship is available at: https://www.dss.agh.edu.pl/aktualnosci/

The application should be completed electronically via USOSweb, printed out and delivered to the Dean’s office.

Mandatory certificate from the Social Welfare Center: the certificate is obligatory for all students. The monthly income per person in the family, calculated based on the submitted documents, is equal to or lower than PLN 600 net.

INCREASE SOCIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Increasing the social scholarship is due to:

  • being an orphan
  • a severe or piercing disease in the student’s family
  • receiving a permanent or periodic benefit from social assistance
  • the applicant’s residence in the AGH University of Science and Technology dormitory

CHANCELLOR’S SCHOLARSHIP

The application for the Rector’s scholarship is available in the USOSweb system.

Rector’s scholarship for the best students can get

  1. AGH UST student at least in the second year of first-cycle studies
    • obtained a sufficiently high average grade
      or
    • has scientific achievements
      or
    • has artistic achievements
      or
    • has achieved high sports results in international or national competition

and who in the previous academic year had all credits and examinations in the subjects included in the study program.

  1. Students commencing second-cycle studies at AGH
    The Rector’s scholarship for the best students is awarded based on the results obtained in the last year of undergraduate studies. If the previous year of first-cycle studies lasts one semester, the grade point average obtained in that semester is considered.
  1. Students admitted to the first year of undergraduate studies
    The Rector’s scholarship is awarded to a student admitted to the first year of studies in the year of submitting the matriculation examination, which is:
    • a laureate of an international Olympiad or a laureate or finalist of a central level Olympiad referred to in the regulations on the education system;
    • medalist of at least sports competition for the title of Polish Champion in a given sport, referred to in the regulations on the sport.
    • medalist of at least sports competition for the title of Polish Champion in a given sport, referred to in the regulations on the sport.

The amount of the Rector’s scholarship:

  • for the appropriately high average grade achieved
  • for scientific, artistic or sports achievements, depending on the category
  • for the 1st year students of laureates or finalists

SCHOLARSHIP FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

The application for a scholarship for disabled people is available in the USOSweb system.

A scholarship for disabled persons may be awarded to a student who has a decision of a competent authority on the degree of disability.

GRANT

A student who is temporarily in a difficult life situation can get help.

A random event may be:
a) death of a family member,
b) serious illness of a family member,
c) natural disasters (e.g. fire, flood)
d) other events resulting from which the student found himself temporarily in a difficult life situation.

The allowance may be granted by the Dean of the Faculty at the student’s request. The application for the grant is available in the USOSweb system.

The application should be accompanied by documents confirming that you find yourself in a difficult life situation.

The amount of the arbitrary aid depends on the student’s situation. The maximum amount of the assistance is determined annually by the Rector.

In only one field of study, a student may receive the allowance no more than twice in the academic year (once per semester). You cannot apply for assistance twice under the same title.

ATTENTION! The aid application should be submitted no later than 90 days from the occurrence of the cause indicated in the application.
