AGH-UST and GlobalLogic signed a cooperation agreement

In September 2021, AGH-University of Science and Technology, and its Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management, and GlobalLogic Sp. z o.o. signed a cooperation agreement. We are very pleased to announce that the work on the implementation of its provisions has just begun. Our department is one of the four partners of this agreement on the part of AGH-UST, under which it will be responsible for the implementation of issues related to the development of artificial intelligence as well as works in the field of digitization of industrial processes (mainly DigitalLean), aimed at improving the efficiency of business processes, that are the subject of the above-mentioned activities. They are to be measurably and directly related to the works carried out at the Laboratory of Production and Quality Engineering (the so-called LeanLab) of AGH-UST.
The coordinator of cooperation with GlobalLogic on behalf of WILiGZ was associate professor Paweł Bogacz.
In addition to WILiGZ, cooperation with GlobalLogic was also started by: the Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications (coordinator dr. Szczepan Moskwa); Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering (coordinator associate professor Piotr Pacyna) and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics (coordinator dr. It is worth mentioning that GlobalLogic is a company derived from the Silicon Valley in the USA. It is a leader in the sector of software engineering and product digitization services, designs and creates innovative products, platforms as well as digital solutions for the modern world, with particular emphasis on the manufacturing sector. GlobalLogic’s leading role in creating this type of solution is evidenced by the fact that it is part of the Hitachi concern, and in addition, for the third time in a row in Poland, it was the leader of the ComputerWorld Top 200 ranking in the category of “The largest provider of solutions and services for the industrial, construction and production sectors”. The company’s revenues in Poland reached over PLN 250 million in 2020.
