Celebration of the Miner Day at AGH-UST – Come to Barbórka to AGH
December 4 @ 08:00 – December 9 @ 17:00
“Barbórka” at AGH-UST
The rhythm of life of the AGH University of Science and Technology is undoubtedly measured by statutory holidays related to the celebrations held in mining and metallurgy. Their celebration is an expression of respect for the generations of miners and steelworkers to whom the University owes its foundation and many years of development.
This year’s celebration of the Miner’s Day will begin on December 4, 2022 with a solemn “Barbórka” Holy Mass concelebrated at the Collegiate Church of St. Anna at 18.00. The central ceremonies within the walls of the University will be held on December 8 and 9.
Detailed information can be found at barborka.agh.edu.pl.
Barbórka at AGH is a celebration of all Alumni, Miners and its Supporters. The festival is deeply embedded in the traditions of the University, but is also an important cultural event in Krakow, during which observers and participants can learn about the mining traditions. The Barbórka celebrations at the AGH University of Science and Technology are an extraordinary and recognized event for our community and foreign guests.
The celebrations cannot take place without the participation of our Students, Alumni and Friends. Today we would like to extend a cordial invitation to all of you:
“Welcome to Barbórka at AGH UST”.
Best regards
Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management at AGHProfessor Marek Cała
