On November 26, during the meeting of the executives of both institutions, the CEO of Valsir Polska – Barbara Rosek and the Dean of WILiGZ, prof. Marek Cała signed a cooperation agreement between the Department and Valsir Polska.

The new partnership that has been established between Valsir and the university is the next step in building international cooperation between science and industry. Both sides bring their own set of skills and knowledge to the table, making it a win-win relationship. The partnership is driven by innovation in both areas, so they have agreed to leverage their technological development expertise.

Valsir – a company that values development and innovation

Valsir Polska is a well-established and strongly developing company in the sanitary, heating and HVAC market. As a way to diversify its products and services to the currently existing solutions, the management board of Valsir Polska focuses on maintaining the highest level of quality. Valsir believes in the power of innovation and constantly invests in research and development. One of the essential elements of the company’s activity is cooperation with the scientific community and training based on exchanging knowledge and experience.

The international range of cooperation

Valsir Polska is part of the Italian group – Silmar Group, whose headquarters and primary production plants are located in the northern part of Italy. Silmar Group – a holding company that is a leader in the sanitary and heating market with a turnover of over 900 million Euro and 2,600 employees – with factories in Italy, in the Valsabbia region north of Brescia and abroad in Portugal, Poland, Russia, Romania, Ukraine, France and South Africa. The Polish branch is located in Skawina. The production plant specializes in the production of plastic products. Currently, there is the production of PP polypropylene sewage system pipes and HDPE high-density polyethene water pipes for drinking water.

The benefits of cooperation

Development is a vital part of any education. Students must learn to apply their knowledge in the real world and combine theory with practice. One way to do this is by allowing students to visit workplaces and talk to professionals in their chosen field. The agreement provides students of the Faculty with participation in trips to the VALSIR branch in Skawina. During the meeting, the company representatives presented several HVAC and plumbing industry issues. Students’ trips will allow them to familiarize themselves with the production and warehouse part of the Skawina branch.
