None of us is alone in our mission
July 27 @ 08:00 – 17:00
In the eyes of a student, in the words of a future expert.
Studying is not only about learning from books. It consists of many experiences, both laboratory and those gained with others while getting to know their perspectives and thoughts. On the other hand, the ability to share them with others is this hidden gem of study. Everyone who has encountered revitalisation knows that it is an interdisciplinary activity and requires the cooperation of many specialists and, therefore, the ability to work in a team and managerial. Future experts had the opportunity to see and experience many examples of implemented revitalisation jointly. The substantive value they gained is the main benefit, but not the only one…
“The trip to Germany showed me how extensive revitalisation can be. The trip gave me a lot, but most of all, it gave me a wider view of the entire revitalisation and showed that even in the least attractive area, the facility can be transformed in such a way that people want to spend time there and visit this place. ” Barbara Pustelnik, RTZ II degree I year
“The trip not only delighted me in terms of content; moreover, it encouraged me to expand my knowledge further. It was also a good impulse for integration with all RTZ years. It was a time to build relationships with future specialists in the revitalisation industry in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. I recommend going to RTZ because it is an excellent opportunity for unforgettable experiences during your student life! ” Dominika Karnas, RTZ III year
“The trip to Germany allowed me to broaden my contacts with my friends from other years. As a new field of study with a relatively small number of students, I think it is worth getting acquainted with new people with similar interests because, in future work, it will be worth knowing such specialists and being able to cooperate with them or discuss a given topic related to revitalisation. It is always worth looking at a given problem from several sides. ” Barbara Pustelnik, RTZ II degree I year
“The trip itself, attended by all years of our RTZ students, gave us a unique opportunity to get to know each other better, create new ones and improve our friendships. Our trip’s most excellent integration result is the creation of a new research club. ” Jakub Rutkowski on behalf of RTZ II year
“Thanks to my trip, I met many people. I think the contact we built will be maintained between us. In addition to social meetings, we also took the group to organise a circle related to our direction. The trip allowed us to get to know each other and become one community with similar interests. Apart from establishing relationships between our students, the contact with our lecturers has also increased. When we started studying, we didn’t have many opportunities to travel or go on field trips, and we didn’t have a chance to do so. It allowed the whole community of all ages to see if we were interested in this topic. ” Magdalena Krieger, RTZ 3rd year
“(…) spending many hours driving in one coach with all the age groups of RTZ, and most of all getting to know these people in various situations, tied us together and motivated us to further cooperate, among others within the RTZ research club. I appreciate these relations in particular because due to the small number of people in my yearbook, it is nice to see a fresh perspective on the common goals and approach of students at a different stage than us. I believe that the contacts I made will bear fruit not only now, during my studies, but also in my future professional and private life. ” Daria Borowik, RTZ III year
“During my stay in Germany, I had the opportunity to meet people with whom I share a passion for revitalisation – people I passed every day at the university, but there was no opportunity to get to know each other better. As it turned out, each of us has different ideas and reflections, a passion and a willingness to take up exciting initiatives. Thanks to this, the idea of establishing a revitalisation research club was born, which would not have happened had it not been for the trip. Of course, we had fun together while getting to know the projects and during our free time… so we were never bored. It is also worth paying attention to the people who showed us around the facilities, as they were people full of passion and energy in sharing their knowledge with us. Getting to know them and even a moment of talking together was also a valuable experience. So the trip was also an opportunity for me to meet other enthusiasts of the revitalisation topic, which makes me especially happy because it means that none of us is alone in our mission. ” Jakub Šinkovič, RTZ III year
“(…) such a trip strengthens the student bond of all age groups of RTZ. I met fascinating people with whom I will keep in touch. ” Małgorzata Synoczek, RTZ, 2nd degree 1st year
“The trip to the Ruhr allowed me to consolidate with others at RTZ. I was getting to know the perspective of younger colleagues, and their views regarding the need for revitalisation broadened my perspective. In turn, the integration was excellent. The trip and a long journey by coach made each of us acquainted, which probably would not be possible in the university corridors. ” Kacper Tworek, RTZ, 2nd degree 1st year.
Annual expeditions “into the world” of students of the Revitalization of Industrial Areas to build KNOWLEDGE – PASSION – BOND – have become a new tradition of WILiGZ. Next year, France!
