The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management at AGH is proud to announce the establishment of a strategic partnership with the Carbon Footprint Foundation, a leading organization dedicated to promoting environmental protection and combating climate change. This exceptional partnership is not only a testament to our commitment to education and technological advancement but also a significant step toward our shared goal – decarbonization and energy transformation.

Collaboration for the Future

As part of this partnership, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management at AGH will participate in the fifth edition of the Carbon Footprint Summit 2024. This prestigious event, which will take place on October 7, 2024, at ICE Kraków Congress Centre, will bring together leading experts, scientists, students, and practitioners from around the world to discuss and share knowledge on environmental protection and sustainable development.

As an event partner, we will coordinate the Gen Z[change] Zone – a space dedicated to young talents from our scientific circles, including:

  • Student Scientific Circle for Management Transpeed AGH
  • AGH Solar Boat Team
  • Eko-Energia AGH
  • Nova Energia Scientific Circle
  • Nuclear Energy Scientific Circle “Uranium”

The Gen Z[change] Zone will be a platform for creative exchange, dialogue, and presentation of innovative projects and research conducted by our students and academic staff.

Key Values of the Partnership

The partnership with the Carbon Footprint Foundation aligns with AGH’s mission to not only educate top-class specialists but also actively participate in global initiatives for climate protection. Our joint efforts will focus on raising awareness of climate change, decarbonization, and innovative solutions in sustainable energy.

The partnership was formalized on Friday, with the agreement signed by:

  • Marek Cała, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management at AGH,
  • Marta A. Seweryn and Agnieszka Tomasik-Świderska from the Carbon Footprint Foundation.

Ewelina Migacz from the Carbon Footprint Foundation has been appointed as the coordinator of the Gen Z[change] Zone.

Be Part of the Change

We warmly invite everyone interested to follow the progress of our efforts and participate in the Carbon Footprint Summit 2024. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a global change for a better future.
