Raw Materials Value Chain (RaVeN) master’s degree program – the third group officially inaugurated its studies at WILiGZ!
We are pleased to announce that the third edition of the Raw Materials Value Chain (RaVeN) master’s degree program has been officially inaugurated at the AGH Department of Civil Engineering and Resource Management. RaVeN is one of the programs within the EIT Raw Materials Academy Master’s Programs.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Arkadiusz Kustra, Ph.D., Professor of the University, who ceremoniously opened the next edition of the program. Also present on behalf of the Faculty were members of the RaVeN Program Team : Sylwia Lorenc, Ph.D., Marta Podobinska Staniec, Ph.D., Anna Wiktor- Sulkowska, Ph.
Currently, 14 students from different parts of the world have joined the program, including China, Turkey, Nigeria, Mongolia and Jordan. After obtaining visas and fulfilling formal requirements, the completed group, participates in classes and follows a didactic program in accordance with the approved study harmonogrmam.
With funding from EIT Raw Materials, participants have the chance to get an education with international appeal, prepared by a consortium of universities such as:
- AGH from Krakow (Poland),
- TUBAF of Freiberg, Germany,
- TUKE from Kosice (Slovakia),
- LaPalma Research Institute (Spain),
- Łukasiewicz – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals in Gliwice (Poland),
International character and dual diplomacy.
The RaVeN program, conducted in English, allows students to earn two degrees – from AGH and from the German university TUBAF. Thanks to the unique nature of the program, participants study three semesters in Poland and one in Germany, learning about various aspects of the mining, ptrzetw or metallurgical industry, as well as management or sustainable development.
Challenges and prospects for the future of the industry.
The topics of study address the current needs of the European industry, focusing on identifying current challenges in diversifying and securing raw materials within global value chains and the latest trends in the area of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) concepts. The program offers numerous field trips, workshops and guest lectures by industry experts.
Attractive scholarships and development opportunities.
Students have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship of €13,500 gross per lifetime of study. The program fosters the development of entrepreneurial skills and innovative behavior, enabling students to create their own business or social project.
For those who are willing, nothing is lost – the new recruitment for Polish students (the last one under EIT Raw Materials funding) lasts until February 12!!!
