How will the recruitment rate for Mathematics at the basic level be determined?
The result in Mathematics (compulsory) taken at the basic level will be taken into account in the calculation of the M component of the Recruitment Rate. It cannot be used to calculate the G component of the Recruitment Rate because the G component can only be calculated on the basis of an Extended level Maths result.
Of course, it is still possible to participate in the admissions process. The only restriction is that among the courses declared by the candidate, there cannot be a course which the person is studying or has graduated from within the same degree programme.
Note: If in the recruitment process for second-cycle studies, the candidate:
– is currently completing his/her first degree, i.e. has already defended his/her engineering thesis, or bachelor’s thesis (or the defence will take place before the end of registration),
– is not studying another course,
– resigns from their current studies after having qualified for studies at AGH (at the moment of registration),
should select the option “I will not be a student” in the registration form.
I am already studying another course. Can I participate in the admission procedure this year?
Of course, it is possible to join the admission procedure. The only restriction is that the declared fields of study cannot include a field of study in which the candidate is studying or which he/she graduated from within the same level of study.
Note: If in the recruitment process for second-cycle studies, the candidate:

I have completed my secondary education abroad. What documents do I need to submit before qualifying for a first cycle degree?
With regard to education obtained abroad, before the registration deadline a candidate is obliged to submit, via the e-Recruitment system, an electronic copy (scan) of a validated or Apostille certificate or other document obtained abroad, which entitles the candidate to apply for admission to any type of university in the country where the institution issuing the document operates. At the same time, translations into Polish of the aforementioned documents drawn up or certified by a sworn translator registered as an official translator in the list kept by the Ministry of Justice or a consul of the Republic of Poland in the country where the document was issued should be submitted in the same way. Foreign documents are verified by the Department of Foreign Students of AGH. More information >>
The Recruitment Centre converts the secondary school-leaving exam results into the Polish grading scale and enters them into the e-Recruitment system. More information >>
Do I have to submit my university documents in person?
It is not required. The relevant documents at the registration stage will be submitted electronically (you will be required to upload electronic copies of your documents).
After the pre-selection (once the results have been notified) – the candidate may personally submit the required documents to the Recruitment Centre or, – the candidate may send a set of original documents to the Recruitment Centre via an entrepreneur authorised to perform postal activities in domestic or foreign trade. It is necessary to send the original secondary school-leaving certificate or an original copy issued by the authorised body (OKE in Poland). The documents must be delivered to the Recruitment Centre before the deadline specified in the Recruitment Calendar, or – the documents can be submitted in person to the Recruitment Centre by a person, to whom the candidate has given a written authorisation to perform certain legal actions concerning entering AGH. In this case, a Notary Public is required to confirm the authenticity of the candidate’s signature on the power of attorney (sample power of attorney is available in the section Recruitment Documents).
Can I amend the list of declared courses and until when?
In the first cycle of the university admission process, the declaration of the field of study may be freely changed until the expiry of the period allocated for the registration of candidates as given in the recruitment calendar in a given recruitment cycle. In the second cycle, the declaration of the field of study may be changed up to the moment of obtaining the status of a candidate in a given recruitment cycle.
How high is this year's recruitment fee?
For details regarding the fee for the admissions process for the current academic year, please refer to the Fees section of the website: https://kandydaci.agh.edu.pl/rekrutacja/oplaty/
Where can I find the application form for the university and the information sheet?
The recruitment process at AGH University of Science and Technology is conducted using the e-Recruitment system, where you can print out all the necessary recruitment documents, such as the application form, information sheet and others.
It is not possible to fill in these documents in any other way than through the e-Recruitment system.
I am planning to relocate to AGH from another university. How can I proceed with this?
Moving to a university from another institution of higher education is not part of the recruitment process. It requires the consent of the Dean of the Faculty conducting the course to which the student would like to transfer.
Questions in this matter should be addressed directly to the Dean of the relevant Faculty; contact details of the Faculties are available on the page Faculties and basic organisational units.
The rules of admitting the laureates and finalists of central-level Olympiads are specified in the Resolution of the Senate of AGH No. 158/2019. The laureates and finalists who may apply for admission to AGH without the recruitment procedure must register in the e-Recruitment system. Within the dates provided in the recruitment calendar, they are required to enter the results of their matriculation exam and send in a scan of a certificate stating that they have been awarded a laureate or finalist title. They must then present the original of the certificate for review when making their enrolment. This entitlement can only be claimed after obtaining positive results in the secondary school-leaving examinations and only in the year of obtaining the secondary school-leaving certificate. Skipping the admission procedure means that the laureates and finalists receive the maximum value of the admission indicator.
I am a laureate/finalist of an Olympiad, which entitles me to the exemption from the admission procedure. How does recruitment work in my case?
No. Entry must be made by the deadline for entry in a given recruitment cycle. Failure to make an entry means resignation from the seat assigned to the student.
However, in the case of unforeseen events which make it impossible to enter by the deadline and which are confirmed by a reliable document, it is possible to apply for an extension/restoration of the entry deadline.
