Faculty awards
The “Crystal Barbórka” Award of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management was established by the Resolution of the Faculty Council of 23 October 2008.
Since the date of entry into force of the said resolution, i.e. 1 November 2008, the Crystal Barbórka has been the highest Honorary Award of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management handed as a symbol of gratitude and appreciation for contributions to the Faculty.

BIENIAWSKI MEDAL
The award named after Professor Zdzisław Bieniawski “Bieniawski Medal” was established by the Resolution of the Council of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management of 26 February 2015.
The award called the Bieniawski Medal is founded by Prof. Zdzisław Bieniawski, a citizen of the USA – Honorary Doctor of AGH University of Science and Technology and is awarded annually to one graduate of the second degree full-time or part-time studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management in the field of Mining and Geology or Construction for the best master’s thesis in the field of geoengineering with special reference to geomechanics, underground construction or geotechnics.

PROF. PAWINSKI SCHOLARSHIP
The Prof. Jan Pawiński Scholarship Programme for students of doctoral studies and Doctoral School (excluding the “Implementation Doctorate” programme) pursued at the St. Staszic Academy of Science and Technology in Kraków was established by the Resolution of the Council of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management of 7 July 2016.
The scholarship is an individual distinction and constitutes a form of financial support and motivation for doctoral students distinguished by good academic results and involvement in scientific and organisational activities for the benefit of the Faculty and the University.The scholarship should be used to develop the student’s talents and interests and support the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, thus enabling the student to improve their qualifications and creating an opportunity for their scientific and professional development.The scholarship is funded by Dr. Krzysztof Pawiński. The scholarship is presented at a ceremonial meeting of the Senate of AGH on the occasion of St Barbara’s Day, where the recipients of the scholarship will be honoured with symbolic statuettes of a miniature inkwell and Peacock feather with the inscription “Professor Jan Pawiński Scholarship No. … Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management of AGH. Year …”
