December 20 @ 08:30 12:30

Please join us for a training course organized as part of the TrainESEE project. The aim of the project, funded by EIT Raw Materials, is to improve the skills and competencies of the staff of Universities in Eastern and Southeastern Europe (ESEE). The training prepared within the project is based on Oxford style of debate as an effective method in academic teaching.

The Oxford style of debate is a tool in didactic work that guarantees full involvement of students. It is particularly useful as a method of activating a group in which there is a predominance of people who are reluctant to speak on their own initiative. It also works well as a tool in remote education, in a situation where capturing the attention of students is additionally difficult. The training will provide you with the necessary knowledge to apply the original teaching method in the form of conducting an Oxford debate.

The training will be conducted by dr hab. Jowita Guja.

Date: December 20, 2022 (Tuesday), 8:30 am – 01.00 pm

Place: building A1, room 218

The number of places is limited. Please send applications for participation to Sylwia Lorenc, Ph.D., at slorenc@agh.edu.pl. Applications for the training are accepted until 19.12.2022.
