Laboratory of Environmental Analysis
Description of the research activities that are carried out in the laboratory:
Application of chemical and physicochemical methods to remove inorganic and organic pollutants from water and wastewater.Recovery of elements from wastewater. Determination of basic parameters of water and wastewater – physical and chemical indicators. Determination of ionic forms of selected metals and inorganic anions in aqueous solutions (e.g. Fe3+, Cu2+, Cl-, SO42-) Qualitative and quantitative analysis of selected organic substances in solution (mainly phenols). Thermogravimetric analysis of organic substances – determination of moisture, volatile parts, ash, sample weight loss.
