What skills should you have before starting your studies at FCE&RM?
Due to the wide range of teaching methods, interested candidates and/or students should have basic knowledge about platform skills, which allows participating in classes via communication platforms, like MsTeams or others. They should also have computer equipment and access to an internet connection with an adequate bandwidth.
How can I change my surname after I get married?
You must bring your marriage certificate along with your new identity card to the Dean’s Office. (documents only for reference)
Do I have to deliver the recruitment documents in person?
No, however, a third party must be authorised by a legal document issued by a notary.
Do I have to collect my degree diploma in person?
Yes, or a third party can collect the documents by having a notarial authorisation only.
Can a diploma be sent by post?
The diploma can be sent by post following a request addressed to the relevant Deputy Dean, indicating the postal address.
Can the certificate be collected by a third party?
The certificate may be collected by a third party.
How can I find out if my application has been successful?
Please visit the Dean’s Office and ask about the decision.
Is it possible to obtain a study certificate? If so, when can this be expected? Would it be possible to have it sent to me in electronic form?
Certificates are issued at the Dean’s Office ‘on the spot’, also electronically.
How soon after the diploma examination can I expect my diploma?
The diploma is issued up to 30 days after the day of the examination in the Dean’s Office.
What is a supplement?
It is a list of all the subjects along with the grades you have achieved for your entire degree programme.
I have lost my diploma - how can I get a duplicate?
You should submit a request to the Dean of the Faculty together with a payment confirmation in the amount of PLN 90 to the appropriate account number:
full-time studies: 34 1240 2294 1111 0010 5517 0878

What documents are needed for clearance before the diploma defence exam?

Where can I find the class timetable?

How can I change my lab/project/audit group?
By contacting the Dean’s Office relevant to your course.
How can I transfer a grade?
Through a formal request to rewrite the grade, which must be signed by the Course Tutor.
I cannot find myself on the list for the 'xyz' course. What should I do?
Report it to the Dean’s Office in order to be added to the course.
I didn't manage to enrol in elective courses - how can I enrol after the deadline?
You should report to the Dean’s Office.
How can I switch to part-time studies?
You must submit 2 applications for transfer: one to the full-time dean’s office and the other to the part-time dean’s office along with your course transcript. After obtaining the consent of the Deputy Dean of part-time studies, a course transcript card should be submitted to the Dean’s Office of full-time studies in order to be cleared.
How can I change the topic of my diploma dissertation/thesis project?
You must submit an application to change the topic of your thesis. The application must include the consent of the thesis supervisor and the Department Head.
I have a shortage of ECTS credits, what can I do in this situation?
You can apply for a special leave of absence.
Where should I register my thesis/diploma project?

Czy mogę uczęszczać na dodatkowy kurs języka obcego oprócz podstawowego?
Yes, if you apply to the Centre for Foreign Languages.
How much is the fee for a new student card?
The fee for a duplicate student card is 33 PLN.
Where and how do I pay a conditional from the previous year?
The payment for the conditional must be made in the system, under the fees tab. There you will find the exact subaccount and the required amount.
When do I have to pay for my conditional?
Conditional fees are due by either March 15 or October 15, depending on the semester in which the course is taken.
Do I have to pay for special leave?
No, special leave is free. (besides the subjects which are repeated).
Do I remain a status of an AGH student during the leave?
Yes, you keep your AGH student status during the leave.
I am about to turn 26 - will I be insured after my birthday?
A student benefits from health insurance as a family member of an insured person:
- up to the age of 26 – the obligation to register for health insurance is on parents or legal guardians,
- without age limitation, if the student has a certificate of a significant degree of disability or any other certificate of equal status – the obligation to register for health insurance is the responsibility of parents or legal guardians,
- with no age limit, if the spouse is subject to obligatory health insurance – the obligation to report for health insurance rests with the spouse or if the spouse has another health insurance entitlement, e.g. employment contract, contract of mandate.
A student who:
- is over 26 years of age and is not subject to the obligation of health insurance on any other grounds,
- is under 26 years of age and is not subject to a health insurance obligation on any other grounds,
is registered for health insurance by the University.
- up to the age of 26 – the obligation to register for health insurance is on the parents or legal guardians,
- with no age limit, if the person has a certificate of significant disability or other disability treated equally – the obligation to report for health insurance rests with parents or legal guardians,
- without age limitation, if a spouse is subject to obligatory health insurance – the obligation to register for health insurance rests with the spouse or if the spouse has another title for health insurance, e.g. employment contract, contract of mandate.
A student who:
- is over 26 years of age and is not subject to the obligation of health insurance on any other grounds,
- is under 26 years of age and is not subject to a health insurance obligation on any other grounds
is registered for health insurance by the University.
A student interested in being insured should fill in a declaration, specimen in the attachment.
Can I do my obligatory internship at an earlier/late date?
Yes, after submitting an application for a change of the internship date with a positive opinion of the Internship Supervisor and the Deputy Dean.
How and where can I set up an e-mail with the agh.edu.pl domain?
Maila z domeną agh.edu.pl należy założyć w zakładce zakładanie konta lub zmiana hasła na stronie Centrum Rozwiązań Informatycznych.
Zmieniałem dowód osobisty - czy muszę zgłaszać to do Dziekanatu?
Yes, you should report the change of your ID card number to the Dean’s Office.
Where can I collect the student ID card?
You can collect your student card from the Dean’s Office within your field of study.
What should I do to reactivate my studies?
You should submit an appropriate application for reactivation to the Dean’s Office.
Why can't I stamp my ID card if I've passed all my courses?
All grades must be submitted into the system in order for the semester to be passed, and for you to be admitted to the next semester.
Does the Dean's Office stamp my student ID for the next semester?
No, you can have your student ID card stamped at the Electronic Card Centre (CKE AGH).
I want to return to my studies after a leave of absence - what should I do?
You should contact the Dean’s Office by phone, e-mail or in person and confirm that you wish to continue your studies.
