Laboratory of Hydrotechnology / Physical Methods of Enrichment / Instrumental Methods

The laboratory carries out research in the field of grain classification process improvement in hydrocyclones, gravitational, flotation and magnetic enrichment. They are used for assessing enrichment and developing concepts of technology for processing raw materials and waste using them. The laboratory is equipped with, among others:

  • a Warman Cyclosizer hydrocyclone classifier, making it possible to obtain narrow grain fractions in the 0-0.25mm feed grain range,
  • SET HTS gravity separator for light fractions (water settling machine), allowing for testing of enrichment and refinement processes of raw materials and mineral waste in the grain size range from 0.2mm to 20mm
  • Denver D12 flotation machine for testing the flotation enrichment of raw materials and the selection of the reagent regime,
  • magnetic separators with constant and variable magnetic field gradient (plate and belt).
